Wearing Yellow

I am literally wearing yellowtoday. Muka akong teacher sa Mababang Paaralan ng...

The Poor Car

I think I should look for another parking here in Makati. For two straight days, the corolla received two blows of scratches in its bumper, one in front and one at the back.

I am certain I got it from there because I couldnt remember hitting the poor car. It just doesnt feel good at all to drive a 'semi-bruised' car. Oh Lord.

Btw, it's been almost two months now and I (again) do not even know why. Siguro it is not just really meant to be or simply, ganon lang talaga. Wag ko na lang ipilit diba? Stop.

It's Time

I realized, "Thinking of the non-existent is actually a waste of effort, time and well, brain cells. I now believe that if things are really meant to happen, they will happen."

I will just leave everything to JC and do my thing here, which includes my work, hanging out with special people, watching Friends on DVD, reading that new Stephen King book, and thinking of more plans for "kukur", and that body scrub and more shopping and dining. This is quite a handful already so I guess I will be ok now and who knows, with all these, I might not notice anymore the non-existent.

It's now time to control my attitude and not my attitude to control me.

Im gonna go downstairs and eat. Last night, I experienced the most awful stomachache I have ever had.

I should not starve myself.

The Thing

You miss the non-existent thing because obviously, you don’t see nor feel it. And when you start missing it, you cannot focus and tend to do what I am doing right now, blog and think about it. Sad part is, even though how much you miss the n.e.t., you just cannot do anything about it and well, have to live with that fact. Stop.

One diversion coming up!

And This Is Me

"Be who you are, say what you feel. Because the ones who matter don't mind and the ones who mind don't matter"--Dr. Seuss

And this is me.

Nothing Beats The...

Photos were taken last Friday night in Tomas Morato and Select. Meet Hera, Kamille and Fedche. This was Fedche's birthday celebration by the way. Here's to a great life!

Expenditures

Instead of buying the books that I want, I ended up buying Stephen King's The Shining. Well, I dunno what this is about and I am no fan of Stephen King. This was the book Joey (Matt LeBlanc) of Friends put inside the fridge. (I have been 'marathoning' Friends.)

My sister and I tried that Foot Spa in SM Fairview. And it was great and it felt good. For only P300. SM kase has got a newly constructed Annex building and all spas are there! And some boutiques and restos. Kewl. Next time, I will definitely try their body scrub. It's only for P850 so I am definitely a go!

Paging Loville and Jan and everybody na rin, let's try this ha!

Nice!

Oh I loove to blog on a Friday!!! Harhar. I have so many blog posts today. Did you notice? Wala lang. I just felt like I had A LOT of stuff to blurt out right this very minute. I'm pathetic.

Anyway, i havent said this here yet, but I wanna go with Banana. Gusto namin magpakulot ala Kate Hudson. And that's the main reason why I'm growing my hair long. Hehe. But, when I told jopismates about this last night, they said or I think yelled, "No!". Fine.

Moreover (the term just brought me back to my thesis days with the online gels), I know my birthday is like weeks to go, but I'm thinking of going to Intramuros (inspired by jas) with a friend or friends or with an SO (which I think is very far-fetched as I dont have one at the moment). Just talk. And eat. And relax. Or I can go there alone. I can ask for directions as I am a shana/QC gurl. Manila has never been my balwarte. So there. Going back, I wanna be 'kulot' and go to Intramuros and talk and think.

Nice plan eh?

Btw, drapery business from now on will be termed as 'kukur' (kukurtinahin). I think drapery is too formal and I aint one, especially Poang P. Hahaha! Nakabenta na kame. Fantasticus!

No More TG

What was I thinking? I was so stupid not to notice.

Cable Car

Fab night with office people last night in Eastwood. That was my first dinner and drinking session with them and yeah, it was fun. Good thing I joined them.

And the conversations, well, they werent even about work. It was about you and your personal life. From breaking up to getting dumped, to what ideal age you should settle down, to waiting for someone to text you and ask how your day was, to hoping and being positive, to getting caught and now guilty about it to religion, whoa, I can go and on and on..

I just cannot forget this: according to them, girls never make the decision unless they are the ones who are at fault, that guys or they, do not like to initiate any closure. They said it's hard for them to see what can ever happen. Ho-hum..

GSP

Have you seen the GSPs (Girl Scouts of the Philippines) along QC Circle and EDSA this morning?
They were into this "Form a Long Green Line for Peace and Unity".. I hope we will be able to get something from this.
I was once a GSP you know.

You EDSA You

I saw someone in EDSA this morning.

Jopis

**There's scarcity of chairs here. You're dead if you came in late. You'd have to sit on this monobloc stool. In my tardy jopismate's words, "Para kang nakikipag-inuman sa kanto nito ah."

**Smoking area is at the ladies' room outside the jopis. There are chairs there, and well, cubicles and sink and mirror.

**To get an outside line, you'd have to try ten thousand times. Dial 9.. Dial 9.. 9.. 9.. 9.. Oh F*ck!

**Jopismates are mostly guys, guys, guys... married and attached and engaged and dating.. even The Guy. GEDEMET.

**On Saturdays, jopismates are cool and composed. But on weekdays, uh-oh, they're sooo buzzzyyy...

**When it's my turn to fingerscan, dang!, it always fails! Am an alien..

PM Delectables

If I would accidentally bump into some genie, I would, for certain, ask him to bring me back to April 19. Because as of this very moment, I am having a zillion what-ifs and mild palpitations.

Oohh, this terrible state. It makes you wanna grab some honey glazed doughnuts and Coke.

Rainbow Connection

It's been a while since I last saw a rainbow. And yesterday, unexpectedly, there she was, along Commonwealth Avenue, gazing at the traffic. It had the most perfect spectrum of colors and a 'flawlessly outlined' arc. Astig.

SKL, I had dreamt of the drapery thingie twice. And the event we were supposed to have on October 1 was moved to November. The said reschedule brought back ABSi. Most of projects I handled there were cancelled, moved, and until now, were on-hold. Welcome back jinx. I missed you.

Not.

I Just Can't Hide It!

We are now open for business!

Poang P, my business partner (ehem), has started displaying bedsheets, curtains, pillows and pillowcases in our shop. And people are already asking the FAQs!

This is getting exciting. I hope people will like them. :D

Promo Plan includes:

1. Text Brigade to friends back there
2. Chargen to local channel
3. Word of mouth
4. Free cake in every purchase (Business Partner loves to bake)
5. Catalogue
6. What else?

I really wanna go to Mindoro and see it for myself. But work gets in the way. Fabulous.

I am so excited and I JUST CANNOT HIDE IT!

Mardi Doux

I decided to make this day a "Mardi Doux". Sweet Tuesday.

Trivia: Mardi Gras, that street dancing thing, is Fat Tuesday in English. Wala lang.

You know what, I think of a lot of things when I go to work or when I go home from work. Almost two hours of driving alone can sometimes get the best of you. Yesterday, I prayed on my way to work and on my way home. Just had a 'homo sapien to True Supreme' talk. It felt good. I prayed for the gift of acceptance. Well, go figure. Yesterday was stupid by the way.

Anyhoo, I decided, just this morning, that I would make sure to feel good every Tuesday, well, to kind of pay off that 'It's Monday once again, I feel terrible' thing I have been having since I started waking up early. So there, pambawi man lang. And now, I bombard Japanice's puny brain with happy thoughts and the YM reminder from close friend, Osang, that in JC's time, He will give what my friends and I deserve, we just have to wait. It's time to let happy cells do the work.

La Cucaracha Bebe

I saw a baby cockroach on my desk just now. No, no, I don’t put leftover food put inside my pedestal nor have a messy workplace. I don’t know where it came from. And I totally hated it! Because of that, I disinfected my area with my alcohol. Totally yucky. If only I can spray Baygon here.. Oh I hate the sight of la cucaracha.

Energy Drink

I sometimes amaze myself. Fifteen minutes of preparation for work? Not bad for someone who actually takes more than an hour to dress up. I slept late last night because I wanted it so badly to finish the season 2 of Friends, but still, I wasnt able to.
As a result, I got up a little later this morning. No breakfast, just bath. Boy, twas so good that I had prepared my outfit last night. (was kind of expecting something like this would happen)
And now, I am only having Milo (intro Milo song:Growing up with Olympic energy, growing up with Milo, Milo everydayyy). I am working on this techie press release. Adrenaline, adrenaline.
I cant wait to have lunch!

27th!

Omama and Apapa are celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary today. Happy Anniversary dudes!!!
Too bad, we're not together now. Anyway, I phoned them early today and my evil stepsister, Poang P. (the prodigal daughter who returned to her homeland to help dad in business, hehe) was the one who answered the phone. Parents went to hear mass. Naks. (Starting the day right!)
By the way, we surprised them with flowers courtesy of my dear friend Raffy. Mom loved the flowers. And dad.. well, I guess he appreciated it too! :D

---

Thank you dear God for giving me wonderful parents who never fight, who always have fun, who always support each other and who always shower their children with all the love! Thanks!

Birthday Girls

To Twinx, Tel, Oyie, Fedche, and Lennie...

Thanks so much for being one of my anti-depressants. I cannot wait to have more fun moments with you girls.

Happy Birthday!

"This is THE year to be!"

One Of Those Days

Last night, I took a different route on my way home together with my officemate. He said it was time to see the other side of the city.

I did not expect I would be passing through streets totally familiar to me. And memories came rushing towards me. I thought I saw your face. But then I shrugged it off, for fear of ending up stupid and.. never mind.

More of Halo-Halo

Work seems to be piling up now but it's ok. Im actually waiting for my adrenaline to pump up! Ye!

You cannot anymore use your phone while driving or else.. Bayani will chase you! Blah-blah.

Im highly addicted to LALA, that milk chocolate with 'no preservative, no food coloring, and no extender'. P7 for each pack and 3 packs for P20 (you save one peso! BIG difference). One LALA pack after every lunch. Diabetes?

It's only the MDi's Company Directory that's posted in my cubicle. I have to remind myself to bring my Happy Thoughts pictures!

No brochure designer yet. The one we have talked to is taking his sweet time and I hate it. You know anyone?

No, no, no, I am not going shopping this weekend. No, no, no. i just have to buy something and that's it.

Im excited with the drapery business. The blankets, pillows, pillowcases, curtains, and bedsheets will be delivered this weekend or early next week. Oh so fabulous! :D You might be interested. We've got classy designs and a lot lot cheaper than the ones in Our Home and Play and Display! :D

Over here, the guy.

My right foot hurts.

The Guy

The Guy plays my favorite music-- from 'hotel music' (that piano instrumental) to Creed's My Sacrifice. But The Guy doesn't know this of course. The Guy just happens to like this type of music too.
I love to eavesdrop to The Guy's collection.

Sam and the Poor Tabo

A bad encounter of the poor 'tabo' with Sam, that no-mercy dog...

This is Sam. Who would ever thought that this dog's got something brewing up on her mind? Sam thinking, 'Hand me that tabo, will ya?!'

And so I did.

I realized it was a wrong move. But it was fun to look at. Poor 'tabo'.

Oh Lord...

The 'tabo' tried to escape. But of course, to no avail.

Sam was provoked by the 'tabo's' plan of escape. "You're going down now", Sam said. And she gnawed, bit, nibbled, gnawed again, bit, and gnawed more!

Uhh, wait a... Wow! This is a new sight! Sam did not after all slaughter the poor 'tabo'.

The poor 'tabo' lives!

Sam and the Poor Tabo.

End.

Landslide

I had a very, very busy weekend. I won't go anymore into details.
And I can't believe it's Monday once again!
Btw, have you heard of Smashing Pumpkin's version of Landslide? Tis so nice.. Hayyy...

Crush

May crush ako..
Japanice thinkathon: Mid-afternoon attacks on a Friday Hell Day?

Uhh-mazing!

Japanice thinkathon: Bakit parang ang tagal ng pay day? Next week pa?

Anyhoo, what's that job you really want to have, sans the pay?
Me, I wanna be a cashier at some supermarket. I am very amazed at how the bar code scanner works, or if the scanner wont work, cashier uses keyboard and types the bar code away, without looking!

Amazing!

Book-ish

Desperate to buy a book, I went to Oprah Winfrey's website and checked what's on her bookshelf.

And Me Likey These Books: A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson; The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison; Discover the Power Within You; I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou; The Sent of the Soul by Gary Zukav and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Banana Dinner

BV day yesterday wasn't that bad at all as I had dinner with Banana at Oliver's last night.

Nice to see someone not in any way connected with work. My 'dry-as-a-bone' brain finally had its much needed, uhm, 'rejuvenation'.

It was a quality time with Banana. Again, the old saying which goes something like, 'After every storm comes the rainbow', has been proven true. :-) Yes, it may take a while, and waiting for it is like waiting for earth to swallow you down, but when you have actually 'prevailed over', it is as if you can actually taste heaven. This is highly overrated but really, ang sarap ng feeling 'pag nalalampasan mo ang isang bagay na gustung-gusto mo ng kalimutan.

I am definitely happy for Banana.

BV Day and BV Quotes

And because of that, I felt stupid this morning. My boss and I had a conference call with some people from Sydney. I DID NOT even participate. I am totally ashamed of myself now. I should have said something. Duh. Stupid stupid. I hate you. Boss might think I'm no good.
Even my friends are not having a GV day. It must be the weather (or nakakainis lang talaga). Let me share some of their rants:

GV..GV..GV..- osang

Oh no. Ako din di gv today!!! Super low batt ako. I feel sumthing is not ok kahet mukhang ok nman lahat. Tamang tama noh! Wala lang. Kainis!!!- mata

May tomorrow be a better day for all of us...
Will get back to work now. Enjoy the rest of the day people.
*BV - bad vibes
*GV - good vibes

Bigger Market

Harry Potter's market share has grown bigger. It has now reached newly-shaved, married Chinese guy market too! I chanced upon this guy reading Goblet of Fire on my way to work this morning. You will never know that this kind of guy actually reads HP. Natuwa ako sa kanya.
Japanice thinking: I had to take his picture. Good thing my phone's a V200. I looked stupid again this morning, pretending to be texting, but was actually taking someone's picture! But I loved it.

Eat More

Former officemates said I gained weight. I second the motion. I noticed myself eating more than the usual and more than the allotted budget too.

Well, it’s really ok. A few pounds won’t hurt. I just feel like eating.

Good luck to us.

Now Showing

Movies I have yet to see (on DVD or on BigScreen):

1. The Notebook (paging friends and mall rats)
2. Connie and Carla (Wahab?)
3. Princess Diaries 2
4. Spiderman 2 (long, long overdue)
5. Feng Shui (Yep.)
6. Tom Hanks' The Terminal (showing on Sept. 8)

My horoscope today: Libra: A little fun is in order. You've been working far too hard lately. It's time to rock! Go on, get moving!

Yeah, yeah.

I just found out from yesterday's pig out that KFC is now offering Caesar Salad, chicken caesar salad that is. I liked it! :D Im gonna get some more for sure!

Patty, that dog

Mommy called up early this morning. Someone died. It was my seven-year-old dog, Patty.

She was my dog back in Mindoro. She was an askal and had spots on her body. First boyfriend gave her to me when we were on our fourth year in high school. Patty was famous to my high school friends. Sad I wasnt able to take photos of her.

I never got the chance to really play with Patty as I moved to Manila after high school for college. I only bonded with her on vacations and holidays. But according to Mom's stories, Patty grew up to be a great dog-- not the type who only wanted to be scratched and fed. Patty was different. She was responsible; she knew she had a role to portray in our house.

That time, since me and evil sibs were all here in Manila and Apapa had to work, Omama, most of the time was alone in the house, taking care of the deliveries from suppliers and orders from our stores. And she said, whenever these delivery guys were there, walking in and out of our place, Patty was there, on-guard, ears all stretched up, and sitting right beside her, conscious of what was going on around her.

Another story was, every morning, folks open up the warehouse. Instead of folks, going in there first to check things, it was Patty who came running around inside the warehouse, up to the rooftop.

But Patty didnt ever have a boyfriend. Because of that, she wasnt a mother to any of our dogs back there. I am not sure if she was lonely or at times, felt empty because of this. I hope not.

Patty was powerful. Patty was all work and no play. Patty was... darn great!!!

She was now at the back of the warehouse she used to guard the most.

EDSA, Sucre, Parking

I love EDSA on Saturday mornings. Just a thirty-minute drive from my house to Makati. I loovveee it.

And you know what I love more-- finally remembering where you saw a familiar face!

I was driving this morning and saw this lady in Buendia. I was very sure I saw her before. So there, I did some recalling. I was about to call up my reinforcements but I thought it was still so early. (thinkathon, thinkathon) And voila!!! That lady was the lady from Sucre!!! That pasta house in ABS! Ang sarrappppp!!!!

Ang nakakainis sa lahat-- pay P50 pesos for parking. Totally sucks.

Weird

2:47AM--
For a week now, I have been waking up at this very exact time. Never fails. What's happening? It is starting to freak me out really.
And kanina, baka im just starting to get paranoid, it seemed as if someone shook the bed, to wake me up (just my theory). I ddnt know if I was dreaming pero shempre, a chicken shit by nature, I got iisscared!! I looked stupid, siniksik ko yung sister ko and hid under the covers. And I was so scared to open my eyes, but I still did (to see if someone other than my sibs was inside the room). I was scaring myself. Ang stupid ko. Good thing, I fell asleep right away. Uhm, what's happening? Ang weird.

FRIDAY NA!

Bob Garon

I read Bob Garon's article in ABS-CBN News . It was about the three rules for happiness. Here's a good line:

So many of us feel that love is free. It isn’t. It, too, has a price tag. Dedication, fidelity, sacrifice and a fearless giving of oneself are just a few of the demands of love. Unless one is willing to pay the price, one shouldn’t get into it. To do so is to guarantee sure unhappiness.Nothing in life is free. Everything has a price tag.

Another day again..
At least weekend is now two sleeps away. Fabulous.

Countdown Begins

First day of September.
In this time of year, the late Inday Badiday aka Ate Ludz of Eye to Eye would start her Christmas countdown. My first determinating factor that Christmas is just around the corner. I will finally get my wish.
