Spookehh!

Look at this picture. This was taken in Days Hotel in Subic last Planning Session. Can you see that white cloth (with a hand) on my left?

Can you see? I freaked out when I saw this..

But this was just a work of adobe photoshop courtesy of the mumu expert, Francis (the photographer).

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Oohh la la, it’s Friday once again! :D

And tomorrow, I’m gonna hit the road and join the rest of the Pinoys who will be going to their provinces for some well-deserved vacation! Yep! I will be going to Mindoro tomorrow, well, to visit my lola’s (pronounced as ‘lowla’) grave and to have some fun! :D

Pollyanna

I have a new name. It's "Pollyanna". Let me give you a sample conversation between me and my mumma, between BP and mumma.

Me (over the phone): Oma!
Mumma: Pollyanna! Kumain ka na?

Another example:

Mumma talking to BP over the phone: Oh ano naman suot ni Pollyanna ngayon?
BP: Ok naman, naka white shoes si Pollyanna.

How su-weet. They named me after a classic character. Awww...

SKL, The kukur biz is slowly picking up. ;-) Sana magtuloy-tuloy.

Gee-Whiz

Gee-whiz. It’s been days! Anyhoo, I had lunch with my dad and my BP (business partner) Ate Jo. They’re staying at Manila Pen for a convention. That’s why I went there and had lunch with them. I was so full when I went back to my office. And tonight, I will be sleeping over there. Wala rin naman ako kasama sa bahay kaya dito na lang ako matutulog. Malapit pa sa office.

Well, Ive got no big news today. I still miss and think about dolly from time to time but I really try to snap out of it fast. And with my work, well, it’s so-so..
It’s mid-week everyone, ok pa ba tayo???

Home Alone

Star Movies just love showing Home Alone and I love them for that! I never get tired of watching this movie, just like Sleepless in Seattle. They both have this Christmas-sy feeling and I love the Christmas-sy feeling. :-)

It's Nancy & the Hardy Boys This Time

(While watching Friends on DVD)

I can't wait until tomorrow to blog. Sorry, I just have to 'type my thoughts away' or I might forget them!

I was in the mall this morning doing the groceries, and also, I planned of going to Bayo (just like what Lennie suggested). But I saw NBS first! Here I go again.. So there, like there was some kind of a magnet, I went inside the bookstore and checked out (again) the Great Illustrated Classics. I just love hard-bound..

What's with the children's books, girl?

And to my surprise (naks), NBS had Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys!!! Oh those frreeaaakking books!!!! I was dying to read them! You see, when I was a kid, I never got the chance to read these mystery/thriller books. It was my sister Ate Jo and my childhood friend Isee, who read these kinds of stuffs. But me, no. I'd rather read Sweet Dreams, Love Stories, and Sweet Valley back then. I only realized that I wanted to read Nancy and Hardy Boys when I was already, I think, in college. That's when I suddenly missed them.

Now that they're back, I would surely love to read all of em! And there, my budget for a Bayo blouse all went to three books...

Do you know how much I love the smell of new books? Read my profile. Hehe. Highly addictive. That smell.

Classic

Janice goes Classic!

Have you seen those Great Illustrated Classics in NBS ? I actually bought three of those! "Pollyanna" by Eleanor H. Porter, "Tales of Mystery and Terror" by Edgar Allan Poe and "The Pictures of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. And they're so cheap! (Of course, I wouldnt buy three books at the same time if they're expensive, no way!) Sobrang easy read! (They're illustrated and I am a visual person!) I just finished Poe's and am starting on "Pollyanna" now!

On the other side of the "book-ish" news, I really hope I can buy the Anne of Green Gables books. But the whole set costs one thousand plus pesos and I am having second thoughts of buying them since I can use the money for more practical things (like my gas, parking, prepaid card..). Now I'm having a dilemma! But really, they are a great collection. :-)

Nearing 5K

I am finally done with my presentation. It went perfectly well.

By the way, my hits is nearing 5K. Salamat sa pagbabasa ng blog ko guys! :D

LunchBreaks

What I especially love about Friday is the lunch-outs. People seem to be all so happy during their lunch breaks. Maybe it’s because it’s almost weekend..

But really, I was in Mexicali with Glody for lunch and people there were really excited eating. I suddenly decided to not come back to office anymore and watch the movies I have long wanted to see. (But of course, I still did come back to office. Superego, man.) By the way, I had this Grilled Shrimp. It was suupppperrr fantabulous! I don’t know what’s in that dish, but it totally, totally tasted good! And the nachos…. Oh mama…

The lunch-out was great. It broke a some kind of tension that’s been brewing up on me since I came back from Subic. I dunno, I just have this weird feeling that I am not doing my work efficiently. I cant blame this to gestation since I have been here for quite some time now.. Anyway, I am little bit worried. I might be, you know, disappointing some people and Im kind of disappointed to myself too because of this. And this is not a good unique selling proposition. Oh I badly need a personal PR plan.

Contingency! Contingency!

The house is so empty without my sibs around. They are all home for the semestral break. (Sometimes I just wish I were a college student.) So it's just me and Manang around. I miss the weirdos.

On another note, I am now beginning to realize that I am actually out-of-tune with the "real world" lately. I was passing by EDSA yesterday and saw Megamall's "Now Showing". Can somebody tell me what "SkyCaptain" is about or that "Wimbledon" or that "House of Daggers"? I badly need some R&R. Hopefully, I would be able to watch movies this weekend.

And can I just tell you how work seems to eat most of my brain cells now? And I dont want that to happen of course. Contingency! Contingency!

The Love of My Life

*While listening to Jim Brickman's Love of My Life

Not that I have one, but tis song's just so freaking nice, you want to be in love right then and there. I am sorry, this post, I think, is gonna be a little sentimental. My house is so empty today. My sibs are still in school, taking their final exams, and Im here, at home and alone. So I decided to blog and play this song..

So, how did I celebrate my 23rd birthday? Went to Subic. Work could really, really get in the way. So there, I never had chance to celebrate it with special people. But it's okay, the important thing is special people are always with me and loving me, even if it isnt my birthday. You just feel more loved when it's your birthday, because it's the day when your cellphone's at her busiest mode (at least for me).

Because of this fact, I can never thank JC enough. I may not have my love of my life but I have a family who is so awesome-- a younger brother who thinks he's older than you are & who secretly pinches ur nose when you are asleep; a dad who calls you "ang baby" and will just go all the way here in Manila to help u in ur household chores when Manang's not around; a mom who constantly reminds you to eat always to avoid frequent stomachaches and cuddles you; an Ate Jo who calls you from time to time and just fools around and cooks your favorite spaghetti even if she's so damn tired from work; an Ate Je who combs your hair when you ask her to and treats you still like a 4-year-old baby sister. Yep, that's my family.. They're the most beautiful.

And my friends from childhood until now.. I dont see them often but they're here, in my heart, blowing me kisses and whispering happy memories to my ears all the time. Sigh. I love them. I love them a lot.

And to you JC, thank you, thank you so much. :-)

Sometimes it's so hard to believe
When a love can be so strong
And faith gave me the strength
And kept me holding on

-Love of My Life, Jim Brickman

Twenty-three

Twenty-three... I turn twenty-three today. Wow... twenty-three. I can't believe I'm twenty-three.

Happy Birthday to me...

I wonder what's in store for me this year.

Thanks so much to the original Supreme Being.

LTO Drama

I renewed my driver's license today (during work hours) in LTO FastLane in Farmers' Plaza. But it wasn't a 'fastlane' at all. I was there by 11am, confident that I would be able to get back to Makati by 12. (Haponesa thinking, "It's a FastLane after all.") But hoh noh, noh, noh... 3pm nako nakabalik. Cutie.

Hanep ang pila. Madami pala akong ka-birthday! Madame din ako naging friends, mga katulad kong tumakas sa jopis para makapagpa-renew ng license. Hanep. I only had 5 smidgets for lunch. Mahirap ng mawala sa pila at ma-miss ang pagtawag sakin. Had to be real attentive!

And of course, there were the inevitables. Let's name them, shall we? First, ang mga mashadong feeling oh-so-important LTO people. Cranky son-of-a! And since I was actually the one who needed their help, I had to be pasenshosa & sort of mabait. There was this guy who blinked when his picture was taken, and men, the LTO guy said, "Wag ka kase pikit ng pikit!". DUH! Second, ang mga madadaya sa pila. Basta basta sumisingit. (May pila ho, may pila. Sa likod po Manong, sa likod!) And lastly, having your license renewed is costly also! I spent 300 pesos for my drug test and P230 for my license! Pucha.

But at least, renewed na license ko at hindi ko na siya pro-problemahin.

See you in 2007, LTO FastLane! :p

My LSS

The song's that been playing in my head since last night..

It feels like a lifetime,
A thousand days have passed by
Since I held you close to me
If I could see that smile from my friend
I know that I could live again
I need you here with me
Heaven knows what to say
Even though for right
Now you’re so far away
I hope and I pray
Somewhere in your heart I’ll always stay
-Charlie Wilson, "Without You"

Uh-oh.

Good thing it's weekend!

Mina

And I quote my dear friend, Mina:

"Don't settle with someone that's not on the same wavelength as you are. Kailangan kapantay ng mindset ko, if not, then wag na lang."

Knock, knock.

Dreamy Morning

My dream last night was very, very beautiful. Like any other beautiful dreams, I thought this one was for real (and wished it was real)..

But my dreams never come true, not even the opposite of it (which they say is the one most likely to happen). My dreams are merely the extension of Janice who is wide awake and thinking. They are mostly about the things and people I miss, and the things I want to achieve. Hanggang sa pagtulog, naiisip ko pa rin sila.

And until now, I still think of my dream last night, wishing this one's going to happen while Janice is awake. Even for just this one time.

Please.

Gina

Today is our mentor's birthday. Happy Happy Birthday Gina! Stay the coolest and we hope we can hang out again real soon.

And by the way her advice for me today is (read: these are her exact words), Kayang-kaya mo yan! Sipain mo sila lahat!

Tito Phil

Today, Banana's dad will undergo a brain surgery. Let us hope and pray, he will be ok.

I flunked Math

Bakit hindi ako ipinanganak na magaling sa Accounting? I have been looking at my template for the Marcomms 2005 Budget for the longest time now. I cannot seem to fill it up. Bakit ba ang hina ko sa mga ganitong bagay? May God be good and help me. Sana maayos ko na 'to. Work is totally piling up.

Saturday Diary

It's Monday once again and I hope that this week will be good to all of us.

I had lunch, coffee, and isaw feast last saturday with the GVs. :-) And here are our pictures.

I was the first to arrive in Omakase in Libis. GVs played soccer that morning & were still doing some GG (good grooming). To the 'raw-food-loving' people, try going to Omakase. Their sashimi is the best! And that tofu.. and maki, wowowee!

Meet Osang. She came in next. Can you read what's on her shirt? So many boys, so little time. Hehe.

They're here! Meet Tundah, Tibak, Mina and Mata! We had so much fun doing some 'tokatchiphils'. I missed these people.

After Omakase, we went to Katipunan and had coffee in SBC. Katipunan's so beautiful on a Saturday afternoon. Great time to have coffee and a little chitchat with GVs. Relaxing.

Aint over yet. Had an isaw feast in UP. Oh la la. Now this one's so missed. Really!

More photoshoots.

And to another GV, DARS, Happy Birthday Dude! :D

Happy Tummy

I have a happy tummy now.

2 pandesal with peanut butter + 3 sausages + fried rice + breaded porkchop + Hershey's chocolate bar

And in a few minutes, I will be meeting my friends for lunch in Omakase. It's time to turning Japanese, I think I am turning Japanese, I really think so...

I dont think tummy will complain anymore and cause me pain every night. After all, I have been feeding her five times a day now.

Have a fab weekend people. We deserve it. :-)
